Cross-study to find the best soap for sensitive skin

We conducted a crossover study comparing:
- superfatted soap
- goat's milk soap
- pH neutral soap with a pH of 5.5
16 volunteers with a history of sensitive skin, eczema, and psoriasis participated in this study. Initial screening, inclusion criteria, and exclusion criteria were communicated to study participants.
All participants tested 3 products over a total period of approximately 3 months. They were asked to self-assess itch symptoms using the visual analog scale.

Results

Both goat's milk soap and superfatted soap triggered itching in the graph above.

Therefore, based on the study results (statistically significant), the best soap for sensitive skin or eczema is Melo Ayurveda pH Neutral Soap .

The skin protective effect exhibited by Melo Ayurveda soap may be due to the following reasons:
- Zein test value less than 120 mgN/g (values above 200 are considered skin irritants. For example, natural soap has a value of 440).
- Neem plant extract as a key ingredient provides anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial function.
- pH 5.5 (skin neutral) and soap-free
Dermatologists also recommend a soap-free cleanser with a pH of 5.5, especially for sensitive skin such as psoriasis and eczema.
Melo Ayurveda neutral soap provides good skin protection and is suitable for long-term use.
